'Cormorants'
'I created this piece from a photo a took of Cormorants perched on an old derelect container ship buoy in Commencement Bay (Tacoma, WA). Cormorants are divers and are intriguing to watch as they dive deep underwater then pop out, generally with a fish in their beak. This piece required some tricky fabric effects to create the reflection of the rusted buoy in the water.
The finished piece is 24" x 18" and was framed.
