'Is it Tea Time? -work-in-progress'
This project is based on a photo of my granddaughter. I made several alterations to the photo by selecting different colors as I wanted to intensify the fabrics. I also played with the backgrounds. First I created a vintage wall with wainscotting and a window but it was too busy, so I opted to replace it with a vintage 'wallpapered' wall. I printed her face in monoton e on cotton fabric, then embellished with ink. I also printed the oval photo of her and her mother on fabric in monotone. Creating the effect of fabric folds on the table and her dress are done by alternating the color fabrics with the dark fabrics.
The finished piece is 24" x 30" and was framed.
